This organ was initially made for the Roman Catholic Seminary in Amersfoort, The Netherlands.
History (Bron: De orgelmakers Witte door Teus den Toom)
1870: 29 November 1870 the "Conditions (model nr. 3) were signed. The price is f 3.675,- to be paid when the organ was finished.
1871: 19 October 1871 the orgel was been played for the first time by J.A. Klerk, organist of the Oude Kerk te Delft. "Just like all organs from the firma Bätz and compagnions also this organ is a wealth of beautiful intonation, soliditeit en fine workmanship".
1872 t/m 1902: Maintenance by firma J. Bätz & Co. for f 25,- per year. Extra work in 1874/75 (cabinet f 166,90),
1889: (fixing wind loss f 3,-), 1891 (some problems f 8,-) en 1892 (cleaning f 285,-).
1903 t/m 1910: Maintenance by G. Spit for f 22,50 per year. Incidental little extra repairs.
From 1912: Maintenance by J.C. Sanders & Son, for f 25,- per year. In 1912 cleaning for f 287,-.
1927: Installation of a wind engine.
1936: Cleaning.
1942: Work done by Sanders:
-repair of leaks caused by water damage;
-changing of stops:
-de bass of the Bourdon 16 foot (C t/m h) is only to be played from the pedal;
-de treble of the Bourdon 16 voet is moved and made into Roerfluit 8 voet. c’ t/m dis’ and because of not enough room is being combined with Prestant 8 foot;
-on manual II an additional Voix Céleste is installed (vanaf c°).
1958 - 1959: Sanders moves the organ to the Old-Catholic church in Den Helder and makes a new front used all the original pipes, the stop list does not change.
